Usually when we write, we are alone: just us and our thoughts. The Writer’s Corner is a way to feel a little less isolated in the process of writing, because community is so important for writers, too. This is the group you’ve been looking for to bounce ideas with, vent about a part of your story that you’re stuck on, and rant about a new idea you have.

  • These memberships are for women and femmes over 18 who love fantasy!

  • Yes, you can join both with our discounted package membership! You’ll get the full range of benefits from each membership, including all reading events, writing workshops, and more. To join both, choose “Reading Nook & Writer's Corner Membership Package” when you select your subscription.

  • Simply visit our sign-up page, choose the membership you want, and follow the prompts to create your account. You must be 18 or older to join. Once you’re in, you’ll gain instant access to all the benefits tied to your membership.

  • Yes, you must be 18 or older to join.

  • The Reading Nook and The Writer’s Corner each have separate monthly or annual membership fees. For specific pricing, please visit our registration page.

  • All events are optional! You can utilize your membership however you’d like to. Want to join us on our calls? Great! Want to exclusively participate in the online forum? Great! Want to be a silent observer! Great! There are no rules as to how you have to be part of this community. Do whatever feels best for you.

  • Yes, you can cancel your membership at any time through your account settings.

  • Each membership is for individual use only, and we do not offer sharing. However, you can always recommend the community to a friend, and they can sign up on their own!

  • To maximize your membership, engage with the community regularly, attend the live events, participate in workshops or book discussions, and take advantage of the resources like critique partners and writing prompts. Whether you’re a reader or writer, staying active helps you build connections and deepen your experience.

  • Our monthly workshops are a place for you to stretch your creativity muscle and work alongside other fantasy writers. You may choose to focus on a WIP, use a prompt we give you, or simply sit in and listen to others share their work and receive feedback and encouragement!

  • The guest speakers we bring in will be industry professionals who will share valuable insights about writing, publishing, marketing and building a career in fantasy literature.

  • Workshops will be held on the second Tuesday of every month at 7pm ET. This is subject to change depending on member preference and availability.

  • As a Writer's Corner member, you’ll have the opportunity to fill out a form and be matched with fellow writers based on your writing goals and other preferences. You’ll have the opportunity to exchange critiques and feedback on your work to help each other improve.

  • Writer’s Corner members will receive first access to registration and access to early bird ticket prices for all Forest & Fawn Fantasy Reading and Writing Retreats!

  • This will vary depending on availability of guests, member preference, etc. Rest assured we will make sure to add events into the calendar as early as possible so that you have time to pencil them in!

  • These are regular check-in posts where you’ll set personal writing goals and report your progress. It’s a great way to stay motivated, track your writing habits, and receive support from fellow members.

  • Yes! Writer's Corner members receive discounted entry fees for various writing challenges we host throughout the year. These challenges are a fun and motivating way to keep your writing on track while competing for prizes and recognition.
