live out the found family trope in real life
If you’ve never attended a Forest & Fawn retreat. let us paint you a picture of what it looks like.
Most of our guests come alone, hoping to spend a weekend immersed in magic, fairytale, and community. Within minutes of arrival, a room full of strangers become fast friends — laughing, chatting, and bonding over their shared love of books.
By the end of the weekend, guests who showed up not knowing anyone have often connected with who they now consider to be their “found family”, because with the shared love of the same books also comes shared values, interests, humor, life experience, and the shared knowledge of what makes a dragon different than a wyvern.
Our guests find more than new friends, they find their people.
We’ve had past guests who met at a retreat and moved across the country to live near one another. Guests who have started businesses together. Guests who continue book clubs together, travel together, and talk every day.
In other words, Forest & Fawn retreats are where found family is made.

“As someone who attended solo, I immediately felt included and comfortable. It was the perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, books, and friendship. I’m so grateful for the experience and the memories made, and I would absolutely attend another retreat hosted by this team.”
— Perrin F.“After going on my third retreat, I can't wait to go another! It's amazing the friendships that can be built over a shared love of books, fae, dragons, and whimsy in just a few days. Right after getting back, I'm already planning a long weekend trip with my new book besties!”
— Sarah E.“This was my second retreat and I will definitely be coming back for more! As an adult it can be so hard to make friends but attending the retreats you really do find your Found Family. The attendees naturally have so much in common that it's easy to connect with others. I always feel like I can be my more true, natural self and that it's appreciated.”
